The Reverend O. Brandon McAfee (pronounced Mack-A-Fee) is the proud Pastor of the Historic Saint John African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church in Baltimore, MD, where the Right Reverend Reginald T. Jackson is the Presiding Bishop of the Second Episcopal District and the Rev. Wanda E. London is the Presiding Elder of the Eastern District.
Pastor McAfee was born in Cheverly, Maryland, to Kyle and Cheryl McAfee. He is the devoted father of one son, Master Maxwell McAfee—affectionately known as Super Mighty Max—and two heavenly angels.
He is a 2006 graduate of the University of Massachusetts–Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies. In 2010, he earned his Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. He is currently matriculating at McCormick Theological Seminary, pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in African-Centered Theology under the tutelage of the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.
Rev. McAfee has served faithfully throughout the Second Episcopal District of the AME Church. His pastoral appointments include:
St. Matthew AME Church, Weldon, NC (June 2010–September 2012)
St. Mark AME Church, Smithfield, NC (June 2014–May 2015)
Ebenezer AME Church, Capeville, VA (May 2015–May 2016)
Gaskins Chapel AME Church, Savageville, VA (May 2016–July 2020)

Rev. McAfee is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and he is guided by his favorite scripture, Proverbs 18:16, “A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” He is passionate about making a loving impact in the lives of people and community through the love of Christ, and lives daily as a humble laborer in God’s vineyard.
